Report: LeBron James Could Produce ‘Friday the 13th’ Reboot

LeBron James

LeBron James is always deliberate in his decisions and it’s no accident that he now finds himself in Los Angeles. There has been plenty of speculation as to why he came out west, especially when the competition is a bit tougher in the Western Conference than in the Eastern Conference. However, there’s clearly a benefit to being near Hollywood when one is getting into the media business, too.

Today, Bloody Disgusting reported that LeBron James is in talks to produce a Friday the 13th reboot. LeBron’s company, SpringHill Entertainment, would be teaming up with Vertigo Entertainment for it. As the site also points out, it isn’t anything new to find out that he’s a big horror fan.

LeBron James has been a Jason Voorhees/Friday the 13th fan for quite some time. The original film released in 1980 and based on the fact that Halloween just released 40 years after the original movie debuted, horror movie reboots seem to be popular again.

I’m all in on LeBron James getting into the horror movie game. Some of the best horror movies come from people who just love the genre and he appears to love it based on his previous tweets and even costume choices.
