So close, yet so far.
The Los Angeles Lakers erased an eight-point deficit in the final minute of regulation to force overtime. The shocking comeback was capped by a deep three from LeBron James with just over two seconds to play.
The Lakers then controlled most of the overtime session, but a pair of missed free throws by James, followed by a Patty Mills jumper put the Spurs back out in front. With 6.8 seconds to play, James got a chance at redemption but was off the mark on a jumper at the buzzer. The Spurs get out of Los Angeles with a 143-142 overtime win.
