Most NBA analysts don’t have the Lakers making the playoffs. Most don’t have them getting close, but don’t tell that to rookie point god Lonzo Ball.
“I’m focused on making the playoffs.”- Lonzo

While the odds are certainly stacked against the Lakers in a loaded Western Conference, every team starts 0-0, so we shouldn’t count out the young team just yet.
If the team clicks on all of the important things and several other teams in the West struggle, the Lakers might be able to sneak into the playoffs. The usually soft-spoken Lonzo had a few other things, to say, including the adjustment from college to the NBA.
“Everybody on the team was the man wherever they came from… I feel like it’s a little bit easier because everybody is super talented.”

Lonzo also briefly touched on why passing is important to a successful offensive system.
“The ball moves faster than the person… that just makes sense to me.”- Lonzo on why passing is good

Lonzo is on the complete opposite spectrum of his father as far as interviews go, but interviews don’t matter in this league, only buckets. It seems that we’ll have to wait until the first game to see what Lonzo has in store for us.
