Brook Lopez praises young Lakers, says he was traded so Nance, Jr. couldn’t dunk on him again

Brook Lopez is fitting in with his Lakers teammates already despite having only been a member of the team for a few months. The big man gave a variety of quotes regarding his younger teammates.

Lopez has noticed how much work Ivica Zubac has been putting in this offseason.

Zubac had an exciting rookie season as he seemed to show that the Lakers once again picked up a steal in the later rounds like previous years. Despite that he had a fairly disappointing summer league and showed off bad defense and somehow played worse on offense.

Despite that, Lopez has noticed that Zubac has been in the gym every day and is always working on his game. Zubac clearly wants to improve and Lopez noticed that.

Lopez didn’t just notice Zubac. He stated that the young core is a special group among other things

He also thinks Ingram is going to prove a lot of doubters wrong this year

It wasn’t all serious talk, as he joked about Larry Nance Jr’s dunk on him from last season. So far Lopez has added a good personality to the team and hopefully he adds some good play to it as well.

If Larry can have that sort of impact, he should start dunking on LeBron James next.
