Folks, we are very close to the sights and sounds of Los Angeles Lakers basketball. As we near the action, we embark today on another Mailbag Monday. Let’s get into it, shall we?

The dream starting lineup for me is Russell Westbrook and Kent Bazemore in the backcourt. The frontcourt is comprised of Trevor Ariza, LeBron James, and the newly married Anthony Davis (congrats King!). This gives the team the ability, in theory, to comfortably switch and attack the boards. On offense, you get size, speed, and athleticism across the board. Davis and James are just monstrous at their ideal positions and would give the offense a boost in complementing Westbrook. Bazemore and Ariza are capable of proving the necessary shooting and spacing for the three big dogs to work.

Rajon Rondo gets a lot of love for his leadership and IQ. It’s cliche, but it’s a very useful asset to any competitive roster. Rondo is fearless in leading. There’s a very humanistic thing about players that will not allow them to hold stars accountable, and I don’t think Rondo has that. He doesn’t mind getting into anyone’s grill when they’re being a detriment to the team. I imagine that will be his biggest complement to Russell Westbrook.

Up next, we have to discuss our roommates who appear to be finally moving out: the Los Angeles Clippers.

Yes! I’m so glad that we got down to the bottom of this one. There’s a phenomenon that’s going on right with empty trophy cases. They seem to rumble with emptiness on occasion, and the noise can thunder, as if the ground is shaking. It’s very scary indeed! It’s also sad! The Clippers should try to fill their trophy cases.

Lastly, the last bit of the roster is discussed and fans wonder what they may do, including adding fans to the roster.

A loyal fan like yourself will definitely make the big board. It’ll be up to Rob Pelinka to pull the trigger. Your likely competition could end up being Darren Collison, so rest up and sharpen your game in case that call comes through. See you when training camp starts!
