You can’t have Christmas Day basketball without the Los Angeles Lakers. Over the years, they’ve provided many entertaining games. From Shaquille O’Neal returning as a visitor to overtaking the rival Boston Celtics. The last time the Lakers played as defending champions on Christmas was 2010. LeBron James led the Miami Heat in a 96-80 victory over them. This time, it appears that the league is putting three superstars on the holiday stage.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported the league’s slate, with the Lakers in primetime at 8 PM EST/5 PM EST against the Dallas Mavericks. The remaining schedule is as follows:

Luka Doncic was one of the brightest spots in the league last season. The Lakers and Mavericks had a thriller in a November 1st overtime win for LeBron James and company. Doncic (31 points, 15 assists, 13 rebounds) and James (39 points, 16 assists, and 12 rebounds) matched triple-doubles with Anthony Davis following up with 31 points and eight rebounds.
This could possibly be a Western Conference Finals preview. The Lakers won last year’s season series 2-1 over the Mavericks.
