LeBron James may be in the Orlando bubble, but that doesn’t mean his countless business ventures aren’t still operating at the same time. One of his most honorable ventures throughout his career has been the LeBron James Family Foundation, which eventually led to the I Promise School in his hometown of Akron, OH. Tonight, they had their annual “We Are Family” reunion, which of course had to be a little different than previous years due to COVID-19. It appears that they held an event at a drive-in, where the countless children and their families were treated to quite the surprise courtesy of LeBron’s business partner, Maverick Carter. That surprise was the unveiling of the jerseys that will be worn by LeBron and others in ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’, the sequel to the classic sports movie.

Yes, that’s right. Those are apparently the jerseys that LeBron and his team of Looney Tunes will be wearing when they face the — well — I guess we don’t necessarily know the full plot of the ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’ movie that will be premiering Summer 2021. The jerseys are definitely more ambitious than the ones worn by Michael Jordan in the original ‘Space Jam’, using the infamous Looney Tunes logo (that Jordan was propelled through in the first one) to take up not only most of the top, but the shorts too. Another detail is the six worn by LeBron on his shorts, revealing that he will be wearing his Miami Heat number in this movie (LeBron also wears number six on his Lakers practice jersey).
Many NBA players will be starring alongside LeBron in the movie, including his teammate Anthony Davis, his first-round opponent Damian Lillard, as well as WNBA player Diana Taurasi, actor Don Cheadle, and other basketball stars. The film will be released on July 16th, 2021.
