After taking a hard fall during a preseason game, Alex Caruso suffered a pelvic bone contusion per Mike Trudell.
Alex Caruso has a bone contusion, pelvis; X-rays were negative. He will not return tonight, and will undergo additional testing when the team returns to L.A.

Caruso drove to the basket and made the shot, but unfortunately landed pretty hard on his tailbone. He was able to stay on the court for one more possession before being subbed out and going to the locker room.
The training staff will require imaging and further testing to determine the severity of the injury.
Caruso came through the G-League and was able to earn himself into a contract with impressive play last season. He was told that he’d be given opportunities to contend for a role on the team. The guard spot is arguably one of the biggest question marks for the team. Rajon Rondo, Quinn Cook, and Avery Bradley are amongst those who are in the rotation. Losing Caruso is a big blow, but hopefully, he’ll have a quick recovery.
The Lakers will be starting the season this Tuesday. Hopefully, before the weekend is over, we’ll have some good news.
