LeBron James is not expected to participate in Team USA activities this offseason but the Los Angeles Lakers will still be well represented.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, forward Kyle Kuzma is among the crop of players invited to USA Basketball’s August training camp. If chosen for a roster spot, he would then participate in the FIBA World Cup held in China in September.

Despite playing in only two NBA seasons thus far, Kuzma is highly regarded around the NBA given his production at a young age despite being drafted late in the first round. His selection to this training camp, although missing quite a few star players, is evidence of that fact.

Whether or not Kuzma ultimately plays in the world cup, the training camp will certainly be a great experience for the young big man. He will have the chance to train with and practice against some of his best peers from the league.

Other notable names reported to at least consider participating in Team USA activities this summer include Damian Lillard, C.J. McCollum, Anthony Davis, Bradley Beal, James Harden, and Zion Williamson.
