Podcast: Lakers beat Celtics on Rajon Rondo’s game-winner; NBA trade deadline recap

After the rollercoaster ride that was the NBA trade deadline week for the Los Angeles Lakers, they came away with something that most people didn’t expect: a potentially season-altering win against the Boston Celtics.

Late game heroics from Rajon Rondo, who hit a jumper at the buzzer, gave the Lakers a massive 129-128 in Boston. Rondo delivered the dagger to the heart of the team he spent nearly a decade with, washing away the utter disgust of a 42-point annihilation at the hands of the Indiana Pacers just 48 hours earlier.

The win comes fresh off a trade deadline that saw nearly half the roster publicly offered to the New Orleans Pelicans for Anthony Davis, only for a deal not to be completed. The Lakers followed it up by acquiring Reggie Bullock from the Detroit Pistons, along with Mike Muscala from the Clippers.

Gary Kester and Honi Ahmadian sat down to discuss the thrilling win in Boston and recap an eventful NBA trade deadline for the Lakers.
