On the morning of January 28, we were awakened by the news of Anthony Davis wanting out of New Orleans. With news that the Pelicans would want the young core from the Lakers in exchange for Anthony Davis, there is a chance that Lonzo Ball will be among the players sent to the big easy.
According to Yahoo Sports’ Shams Charania, however, Ball would rather be dealt to a third team if the occasion arose:
Sources: Should Lakers/Pelicans trade talks pick up, point guard Lonzo Ball's camp prefers Ball to be moved to a third team that doesn't have an established point guard.

According to Lonzo Ball’s father camp, they would prefer that the former second overall pick from UCLA be sent out to a team that does not have an established point guard. Those familiar with New Orleans know that they have a former UCLA Bruin in Jrue Holiday, who has been having a pretty impressive season so far.
With the trade request from Anthony Davis essentially putting the New Orleans Pelicans into rebuild mode, there might be a chance that Holiday isn’t even with the team by the time the 2019-2020 season rolls around. According to Scott Kushner, playing with the Brow was a big proponent of Holiday staying in the Big Easy.
