August is a dead month in the NBA news cycle so we take any morsel of it we can get. So, Los Angeles Lakers fans will be happy to see the newest video from ImPossibleTraining as it shows a familiar face.

Lakers forward Brandon Ingram has been working out with notorious trainer Micah Lancaster this offseason and fans can get a look at what kind of training he has been doing. In this short video, the third-year Duke product seems to be focusing on his ball-handling and shooting mechanics off the bounce:

Lancaster famously worked with Victor Oladipo last summer as the Pacers guard geared up for a breakout season that saw him win the Most Improved Player of the Year award and lead his team to the postseason. Lakers fans will be hoping for a similar growth from Ingram.

Ingram’s ball-handling is one of his biggest weaknesses, not allowing him to get the separation needed to get to the rim on a consistent basis. The forward’s shooting showed a steady improvement last season both in the mid-range and from deep but his three-point shooting of 39 percent came on a low volume of only 1.8 attempts per game. With LeBron James on the roster, Ingram will have more opportunities to both catch and shoot from deep and to attack closeouts.
