Los Angeles Lakers head coach Luke Walton is a man of many talents. When he’s not developing young players and leading them to surprising 35-win seasons or roasting reporters in his deep voice, the 38-year-old is dominating in recreational beach volleyball.

The McKibbin Brothers posted this video of the two-year head coach playing beach volleyball against some pro players (and also former NBA player Chase Budinger) and actually holding his own.

Walton’s volleyball skills have been legendary in Los Angeles since his days of playing in the purple and gold. At 6’8″, it’s not really a surprise that Walton can hold his own at the net, but he’s got real game too.

The next time one of his players makes fun of his bad back, Walton can just pull up some footage of him spiking the ball in fools’ faces. That should do the trick.

Get you a coach that can do both.
