With the NBA draft, less than one week away, the Lakers are doing extensive research on all of the top prospects available. The Lakers brought in the projected number one overall pick, Markelle Fultz for a workout yesterday, and according to Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress, Fultz blew the Lakers away.
Word out of LA is Markelle Fultz "murdered" his Lakers workout yesterday. May be "the best one" they've seen. Sadly, likely all for naught.

Unlike the skepticism and slight disappointment surrounding the workouts of Lonzo Ball and Josh Jackson. Jackson, who worked out with the Lakers a couple days ago did not leave a positive impression on the Lakers. Jackson, who has a questionable shooting form, displayed his struggles in front of the Lakers staff.
Also was told that Josh Jackson's workout in LA "did not go well at all." Brought high energy but struggled with his shooting and handle.

Fultz by far was the most impressive player that worked out for the Lakers that even Magic Johnson seemed to be thinking about trading up to get the number one overall pick.
Multiple sources have told me that Magic "is in love" with Fultz. May try to move up to #1, possibly with a Julius Randle + #2 pick offer.

Julius Randle has put a lot of work in this offseason. His body has transformed into an elite athlete. Randle will be under contract next summer. Randle showed a lot of promise and potential last season so it might be quick if the Lakers were to pull the trigger and let him go.
The Lakers are not the only team who is interested in trading for Fultz. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, the Sixers are the most serious candidate to have a package ready to move up and take Fultz.
