Julius Randle reveals 77 overall rating in NBA 2K17

Lakers players have been busy showing the world their NBA 2K17 ratings. With the next installment of the video game soon to be released, D’Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson, and Larry Nance, Jr. have shown their fans their overall ratings.

Julius Randle is also joining the party. The third-year power forward tweeted out a photo of his likeness in the game and his 77 overall rating.

The 77 overall rating ties Randle with Clarkson. It is two points lower than Russell and two points higher than fellow power forward Nance.

The rating seems to be just about right. Randle is certainly not the best player among the Lakers’ young core. However, he has the potential to become one of the better members of the team. One could argue that Clarkson is the better player right now, but the difference might be negligible.

A hot topic of conversation this summer has been whether Nance or Randle is the better player. Nance pleasantly surprised everyone last year and looked to be massively improved in Summer League. Randle had a decent almost-rookie season averaging a double-double but also showed major flaws that need to be fixed.

There is an argument to be made that Nance should be rated higher than Randle. But the NBA 2K crew thinks otherwise.
