This week will be a huge step in becoming a Laker for Brandon Ingram. He will be officially introduced today at 2:30 pm. He will make his summer league debut on Friday against the New Orleans Pelicans. The number two overall pick carries a lot of expectations and pressure. He will have to prove to the league he belongs.
To add more pressure on his plate, Ingram will take Kobe Bryant’s old locker.
No big deal, right?
Ingram will just be taking over the locker of one of the greatest players of all time. This might be a good decision for Ingram to constantly remind himself of greatness, dedication and legacy every time he looks up at his locker.
Ingram’s locker will be next to fellow teammate, D’Angelo Russell. If you recall, Russell requested his locker to be next to Kobe last year. The previous two-second overall picks will constantly be in each other’s presence, reminding them of the greatness that was once there.
