Free agency has opened up and news is coming out faster than you can say “Fake Woj”. While it was the general thought around the league, the Lakers plan to keep Jordan Clarkson on the team. Time Warner Cable Sportsnet’s Mike Bresnahan let on that the Lakers will bring back Clarkson, whether it be directly from them or matching a team’s offer sheet.
Lakers want to keep Clarkson and plan to match if he signs an offer sheet with another team. https://t.co/fKP0hUkkmn

Protected under the Gilbert Arenas Provision, Clarkson will be easy to keep around. Clarkson is a fan and locker room favorite, and will be exciting to watch under Luke Walton for years to come.
Whether he will be starting or coming off of the bench will be decided down the line this summer, depending on if they can reel in a starting caliber guard/wing.
