The NBA Draft is here and rumors have been prominent. Gery Woelfel of the Racine Journal Times suggested the Bulls could be interested in the Lakers’ second overall pick for Jimmy Butler. But it seems like the Bulls aren’t the only ones eyeing the Lakers’ number two selection:
Ramona Shelburne reports that the Lakers’ phone is “ringing off the hook” with teams inquiring about trading for the No. 2 pick.

In a SportsCenter appearance from the Lakers’ practice facility in El Segundo, ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne witnessed teams’ interest in trading up first-hand. Shelburne also added that those teams are having a tough time prying away the Lakers’ pick:
She added that the Lakers do not want to trade the No. 2 pick because they love Brandon Ingram.

The team seems set on selecting Brandon Ingram, which is seemingly a no-brainer. After the Lakers make their selection at number two overall, we’ll have to wait for the beginning of the second round to make another pick. I like to say, the draft truly begins after the first 31 picks.
