The past three seasons have been a disaster for the Los Angeles Lakers. The win total has dwindled in each of them until they finally hit rock bottom in the 2015-16 regular season, finishing 17-65, marking the worst in the franchise’s storied history.
With every rebuild, however, comes a turning point. Even though the wins have continued to decrease, the Lakers have slowly added assets that now make up a solid foundation for the roster. The common theme for D’Angelo Russell, Julius Randle, Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance, Jr.? They were all drafted by Los Angeles.
Tomorrow night, barring any trades, the Lakers will add two new young players to the roster with the No. 2 pick and the No. 32 overall selection.
