It is no secret that Jordan Clarkson has some serious bounce. His leaping ability and overall athleticism serves him well when he stops on a dime and rises for his midrange jumper and out in transition.
Unfortunately for Marvin Williams, it also helps Clarkson put defenders on posters you will soon be able to purchase at your local sports shop. I think it’s safe to say that poor Williams did not expect this type of explosion to the rim from the 23-year-old Clarkson.
Williams is just the latest victim in one of Clarkson’s thunderous dunks, but he certainly won’t be the last. Lakers fans became accustomed to seeing the second-year man out of Missouri exhibit highlight plays during his rookie campaign a year ago, and that trend doesn’t seem to be going away any time soon.
This was just the latest display to opposing defenses that they might want to think twice about jumping to defend Clarkson when he’s going full-speed to the rim.
