The Lakers were destroyed today.

Player of the game – Nobody

As you can tell by my extensive recap above, this game sucked and no player was worthy of this honor. The Lakers simply didn’t show up today.

Stat of the game – 86 Points

In arguably their worst offensive performance of the season, the Lakers managed to muster a measly 86 points. While the Lakers weren’t expected to win this game, it would have been nice to show some fight. Coming off one of their best shooting performances of the year, this was a complete dud. Yes, Anthony Davis and LeBron James aren’t on the floor, but other players need to step up.

Quote of the night – “Easter Sunday Champions 2020-21”

Nothing much to quote, so I decided to highlight this tweet for all the Clipper fans celebrating this victory on Easter Sunday.

What’s next?

The Lakers head to Tampa Bay to take on the Toronto Raptors, which is something I never imagined I would say. The game is on Tuesday at 4:30 pm PST and only available on Spectrum SportsNet. This should be a winnable game for the Lakers, but won’t if they replicate today’s lackluster performance.
