The Los Angeles Lakers are streaking like a dumb fan at the Super Bowl.
Ok, that was awful…
Looking past the bad pun, your favorite team was victorious tonight.
The Lakers extended their win streak to four games after a 116-105 victory over the Charlotte Hornets. Not even the young brilliance of LaMelo Ball could turn their tide. The absence of Anthony Davis has been extremely manageable post all-star break. Most of this is the combination of LeBron James and the supporting cast. James led all players with 37 points and added six assists. His three-ball caught an early season wind where tonight he hit 44.4 percent of his nine attempts.
As stated the role players that pack punch behind the King deserve some love. The bench has been carrying great weight since the break. Tonight they collectively poured in 39 points- a light night compared to their previous games. This marks an average of 58.6 points over the last three wins. Kyle Kuzma and Talen Horton-Tucker led all scorers from the pine with 12 points.
Alex Caruso returned from concussion protocol and gave the Lakers a boost. He provided his steady presence as a two-way catalyst. He finished as a +10. The numbers speak for themselves with AC.
The Lakers will welcome the Atlanta Hawks to town on Saturday. They will be playing an early slate at 3:30 PM EST/12 PM PST. Both teams are playing some great basketball and it’s sure to be a good one.
