The Los Angeles Lakers continue to trend up after a win against the Minnesota Timberwolves. This is their second win in a row. They also ended the Wolves’ undefeated season by a score of 127-91. Without Anthony Davis, the team did not miss a beat and seem to be gelling their new roster.

Tonight was about Marc Gasol. In this young season, he posted a Lakers career-night. Gasol put up 12 points,  eight assists, and 4 blocks.  Gasol’s assist and blocks were a team-high on the evening. His production was a welcome sight in the absence of AD.

Kyle Kuzma also followed Gasol’s lead. Kuz used his start to add 20 points on 66.7 percent shooting. As usual, his insertion into the starting lineup showed his potential. Kuz posted a game-high between both teams.

The Lakers bench scored a total of 58 points, led by Talen Horton-Tucker with 12 points. Much of this game was out of hand due to the team’s total effort. It appears that the Lakers’ familiarity grows and grows.

The Lakers will have no rest. Tomorrow night, they take on the Portland Trail Blazers. Anthony Davis may be available. If not, it’s going to be expected that they have a similar outing on the road.

Tip-off is scheduled for tomorrow at 7 PM EST/10 PM EST.
