BREAKING! The Los Angeles Lakers made one of their pivotal signings by bringing back Jared Dudley this week. They also signed Anthony Davis to a five-year deal. Davis’ proposal to get to the Lakers was turbulent when presented, but landed beautifully. Winning is an addictive feeling. His decision to remain in Los Angeles is a clear indication. His combination with LeBron James gives the franchise a chance at multiple opportunities at championships.

Dudley may be past the point of on-court contributions, but he’s still a leader. His constant push of LeBron and AD was a steadying force in their championship run. Dudz has full belief in the talent of Davis. He thinks he could take home one of the league’s most coveted individual awards. The 16-year veteran spoke to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin about what he feels will be AD’s mission this year:

Davis will certainly be in the conversation this season after a great NBA Finals debut. He finished with 25 points and 10.7 rebounds per game over the six games series. Alongside an elder LeBron James, the younger Anthony Davis will pick up more responsibility to guide the Lakers back to the promised land. If he can take it home, he will join his teammate amongst many Lakers legends with the award.

The NBA is officially on notice.
