The Los Angeles Lakers could not rally late against the Miami Heat suffering a 115-104 defeat. LeBron James led the team with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Markieff Morris followed behind him with 19 points. Tonight, James moved up to second on all-time assist leaders in the playoffs with 1,840.

Slow Night for AD
After two brilliant performances, the big man had his most lackluster playoff performance thus far. Davis finished with 15 points and five rebounds. On top of the slow scoring, he was also hampered by foul trouble for most of the game. The Lakers go as Davis goes and tonight was proof.
Turnovers Galore
Extremely sloppy basketball on part of the Lakers. It started in the first quarter as they opened with 10 turnovers. They finished the night with 19 turnovers, including eight by LeBron himself. The proof is in the pudding: take care of the ball, increase the opportunity to win the game.
Bench Comes Alive
One silver lining tonight was the Lakers bench. As mentioned, Morris came up big and was followed by Kyle Kuzma. Kuz added 19 points and shot 50 percent from the three-point range. The reserves nailed 10 of the team’s 14 long-range buckets. If they can cut the turnovers and keep up this effort, the Lakers may get back on track.
The Lakers will return to action on Tuesday at 9PM EST/6 PM PST.
