Another game one, another loss for the Los Angeles Lakers. This time, the fiesty Houston Rockets took them down, 112-97. Anthony Davis led the way with 25 points and 14 rebounds. LeBron James was right behind AD with 20 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. James Harden was a game-high for all players with 33 points.
Rondo’s Return
After missing both the seeding games and the first round, Rajon Rondo made his bubble debut. He finished the night with eight points and four assists. Rondo was right behind Kyle Kuzma in bench time at 22 minutes.
Kuz Struggles
Kuz could not find much footing on Friday night after being one of the leading guys off the bench with 28 minutes. He finished the game with just eight points on 33.3 percent shooting. This also resulted in a game-low plus/minus of -21. Here’s to hoping he can turn things around in game 2.
Who Will Be The Third Guy?
The Lakers could find anyone to add to the offense of LeBron and AD tonight. Alex Caruso did an admirable job as a contributor with 14 points off the bench, but he only got 16 minutes total. If the Lakers are going to even the series, one of their rotation guys will have to find their productive role fast.
The Lakers and Rockets will be back in action on Sunday at 5:30 PST/8:30 EST.
