The Los Angeles Lakers now have the momentum in their first-round series against the Portland Trail Blazers, winning last night to take a 2-1 series lead after dropping Game 1. Last night we arguably saw the best-combined game from LeBron James and Anthony Davis in the bubble, as they’ve seemingly been only getting elite production from only one of those two each game in Orlando. They came out in a big way last night, with both shooting 11-of-18 from the field and scoring 38 points and 29 points and recording double-doubles, respectively.
Anthony Davis says he and LeBron James just click on and off the court, two guys who like playing games and having game nights in LA. He said they're like two big kids who want to win.

"In the game he’s so locked in, I’ll be talking to him sometimes and he'll just stare straight ahead. And it's like alright, he heard me I'll just leave him alone…I still say what I got to say even if he doesn’t respond I know he’s listening." – AD on LeBron James #Lakeshow

LeBron James describes his relationship with AD: "There's no ego." James said that they both want each other "to succeed on and off the floor." #Lakeshow

Even though the two obviously couldn’t help but rave about their relationship on-and-off the court, but the two are also a couple of goofballs at times. Davis had to throw in a little joke while complimenting their relationship together, saying that he has to get along with LeBron because “It’s not like I have any other choice.”
The Lakers will more than likely be able to close out this series in possibly six games even if LeBron and Davis don’t continue to have great games at the same time. Still, they will definitely need more of these types of games in future rounds when the Lakers will be taking on the elite of the Western Conference. The Rockets currently hold a 2-1 series lead on the Thunder, with the winner of that series taking on the winner of the Lakers-Trail Blazers series. The Rockets have given the Lakers trouble already this season with their revamped, small-ball team, so the Lakers will need multiple performances with their two superstars firing on all cylinders to be able to advance and get a Western Conference Finals berth.
