The Los Angeles Lakers have concluded their seeding games with a 136-122 loss to the Sacramento Kings. Dion Waiters led the team in scoring with 19 points. LeBron James played 14 minutes in the first half and finished with 17 points. The team sat Kyle Kuzma, Anthony Davis, and Alex Caruso. Now that the team is done, they await today’s results to focus on their first-round opponent.

Keef Found His Shot

Markieff Morris entered the starting lineup today in place of Anthony Davis. Morris was the last player to make it to the Orlando bubble, so he’s been having to travel uphill to get up to game-speed. Today’s performance was a good sign that he’s getting after he posted 14 points on 80 percent shooting from three.

THT Starts

The rook got a start! He finished with a career-high of 14 points in 34 minutes of action. Halen-Tucker looks to build on his performance and break his way into next year’s rotation.

The Waiting Game

The Lakers now await a variety of first-round opponents that may not be settled until the weekend. The Portland Trail Blazers, lead by Damian Lillard, appear to be in the driver’s seat. If all holds steady, the Lakers will have a great test on their route to capturing a 17th NBA title.
