The NBA bubble in Orlando means a couple of things. First, we are inching closer to professional basketballJa for the first time in four months. Second, there are many valid concerns about the health and safety of everyone involved, especially as Florida continues to put up record numbers in new cases.
Most importantly, what the NBA bubble means is a whole lot of #content from our favorite ballers. That’s the case with Los Angeles Lakers center JaVale McGee who, on Sunday, published a vlog detailing his first day in Orlando, including his drive to the airport and saying bye to his family.
McGee also showed the social distancing between the team both on the plane and their bus to the hotel. In those scenes, it’s apparent that Lakers’ president Rob Pelinka is in Orlando with the team as are two-way players DeVontae Cacok and Kostas Antetokounmpo.
Then, the center shows the two Coronavirus tests that players are getting daily, one mouth swab and one nasal swab.
Finally, JaVale showed a glimpse into his hotel room as well as the gifts (including candy, speakers and books on social justice) left by the NBA for all players and one surprise gift from Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
