The NBA continues to reflect a positive attitude regarding the resumption of the season, with their outlook increasing in positivity this week. It’s been reported that Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando has emerged as a frontrunner to host a sort of “bubble city” environment on their campus for the resumption of the 2019-20 season. It was also reported that NBA teams may start to receive guidelines for a return around June 1st, with games potentially starting towards the end of July. Hopefully NBA players have been staying in shape while in quarantine, but there’s definitely one player you don’t have to worry about in that regard. Evidenced by his resume of peak fitness and, well, workouts on his Instagram, LeBron James has continued to try and stay in game shape for a possible abrupt return to the season.
It turns out that he may also be doing that with some Lakers teammates in some on-court work, with the following being reported by Shams Charania of Stadium and The Athletic.

(From Shams Charania) It’s been different for every team, for example in L.A., LeBron James has held private workouts with one to two teammates at a time, at a closed-off private location on court, I’m told. All the safety measures have been taken, I’m told, in these private workouts. Everyone involved has been tested, everyone involved has practiced social distancing, everyone involved has taken the necessary steps to make sure that they’re following all the guidelines.
Charania also reports that players on the Los Angeles Clippers are doing similar things, as two of the best teams in the Western Conference start to really prepare for a possible meeting in a Western Conference Final.
The Lakers were very obviously one of the teams with some of the best chemistry in the NBA, evidenced by nightly laughs being had in their many wins. Not only will some on-court work help the Lakers in terms of gelling together properly with X’s and O’s, but it’ll also help resume that chemistry that added to the value that the Lakers brought on the court.
