After an emotional loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday in the first game since the passing of Kobe Bryant, the Los Angeles Lakers will be right back at it in a road battle against the Sacramento Kings.
The Lakers are currently on a two-game losing streak and have lost four of their last seven games. The Kings have won three of their last four games following a six-game losing streak. The two sides have only played once so far this year, with the Lakers coming out on top in a close contest.
The Kings have a size deficiency with the absence of Marvin Bagley and Richaun Holmes which the Lakers should be able to exploit. Anthony Davis, in particular, is coming off an incredible showing where he recorded 37 points, 15 rebounds, six assists and five blocks.
The Kings have been disappointing this year with an 18-30 record in a year where they were expected to contend for a playoff spot. Still, they have dangerous players like Buddy Hield and De’Aaron Fox who are capable of lighting the Lakers up. LA was unable to slow down Damian Lillard on Friday and will need to do a much better job against the Kings’ streaky backcourt to secure a win.
The Lakers visit the Kings at 7 PM. You can watch the game on Spectrum SportsNet locally or NBA League Pass.
