Anthony Davis’ return to New Orleans as a member of the New Orleans Pelicans is sure to be met with a lot of vitriol. Through a public trade request, unfortunate interactions with fans and some questionable fashion choices, the big man has become public enemy number one in New Orleans.
But while well-earned boos will rain down on Davis on Wednesday, his former teammate and close friend Jrue Holiday is urging fans to stay respectful:

Holiday and Davis share a special bond. The Pelicans point guard knew about AD’s trade request before the organization did and supported his move to LA throughout the process.
Fans will obviously be fans and booing Davis despite the years he spent in NOLA isn’t an issue. It’s just what happens in sports. But hopefully, that will be the extent of it and we don’t see any ugly incidents as a result of someone taking it too far.
