Anthony Davis appeared to hurt his ribs during the Suns game and had to momentarily check out of the game because of it.

He was able to come back and finish the game and played well, but according to reports, X-rays of his ribs were taken. Fortunately, they came back negative, and he will re-evaluated tomorrow.

Anthony Davis is also dealing with a shoulder issue, and he has said that he is playing through the pain.

Anthony Davis is an incredibly physical and active player, so him getting banged up isn’t something that should surprise anyone.

Still, he’s an incredibly important player for the Lakers present and future. The Lakers play the depleted Warriors Wednesday night at home, so it might be a good idea to give Davis the night off.

Update: According to Brad Turner of the LA Times, “all signs point to the Lakers holding out Anthony Davis for Wednesday night’s game vs Warriors.”
