Is everyone ready to see Anthony Davis play in a Los Angeles Lakers jersey for the first time?

Many Lakers fans were wondering if Davis would be suiting up in Saturday’s game, as some were wondering if the team would be cautious with their new superstar. The Lakers other superstar, LeBron James, will also be playing in the contest. All of this was stated by Frank Vogel today as the team was getting set for the matchup.

For a preseason game, this game will be watched closely by many NBA fans for multiple reasons. For one, Anthony Davis and D’Angelo Russell will be playing their first games for their new teams. Second, the Golden State Warriors will be playing in their brand new stadium right in San Francisco, the Chase Center Arena.

Lakers fans should take the news regarding LeBron and Davis with a grain of salt. It’s very doubtful that the two play much, if they even play in the second half at all. In last seasons first preseason game against the Denver Nuggets, LeBron James played sparingly in the first half, and none at all in the second half. You could probably expect the same sort of playing time for LeBron and Davis for the first preseason game this year.

The Lakers play the Golden State Warriors on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. PST.
