The Los Angeles Lakers continue to get out in front of the media with free agency in the rearview.  The week featured conference calls for DeMarcus Cousins, Danny Green, and Avery Bradley. This time, Anthony Davis was introduced to the world with a fresh start on a historic franchise. Davis was accompanied by General Manager Rob Pelinka and head coach Frank Vogel. He also held his newly minted #3 jersey after announcing the delay of receiving #23 from LeBron James.

During today’s press conference he answered questions ranging from his time with the New Orleans Pelicans to his outlook on joining  James on the floor. After a whirlwind season of wondering what’s next in his career, it seems that Davis has direction in Los Angeles. The team made good on dealing with the Pelicans. One of the better quotes was Davis finding out about being acquired by the team per Lakers Reporter Mike Trudell.

Davis cited being a 26 year old and growing up in the internet age to his second-nature reaction. It’s refreshing to see an NBA superstar getting their NBA news from social media like the rest of us.  The evolution of information across the worldwide web proved itself useful again. With his eyes set on making his way to Los Angeles since last year, it was only right that things would unfold in the time that it did.

The world is about to see why Davis has become one of the most decorated basketball players of all-time. A revamped roster catered to his strengths is just what Davis needed. The Lakers are poised to be must-see tv this season and will dominate social media as well.
