With the 2019 NBA Draft Lottery now complete, the drafting process has officially begun for every team in the NBA. That’s the case for the Los Angeles Lakers who fortunately jumped up in the order at the lottery to receive the number four overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.
Among several players who could go in that range is Duke’s Cam Reddish who confirmed to reporters on Thursday that he has already met with the Lakers brass:
Cam Reddish has met with the Lakers already. I asked who was in the meeting and he said “everybody, you name it” https://t.co/gy0UlruWJr

Reddish also told the media that the feedback he has received so far at the 2019 NBA Combine has indicated that he should expect to go somewhere between third and seventh in the draft.
Reddish is entering the draft after one season in college with Duke where he joined fellow top prospects Zion Williamson and RJ Barrett. The 19-year-old forward averaged 13.5 points and 3.7 rebounds per game but shot only 35.6 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from behind the arc.
The latest mock draft from The Athletic’s Sam Vecenie has Reddish going eighth overall to the Atlanta Hawks.
While there’s no guarantee that the player the Lakers choose will ever suit up for the team, their biggest needs appear to be versatile wings and big men. Reddish could theoretically fit the first model.
