While the Lakers are continuing their push towards the playoffs they will have to do so without their starting point guard for at least another week.
Lonzo Ball has been dealing with a grade 3 ankle sprain that he suffered on January 19th against the Houston Rockets and on top of that now has a bone bruise that has hampered his recovery.
According to reports, he has made progress towards a return but still needs time to recover from the multiple issues regarding his ankle.
Lonzo Ball (sprained ankle) will be out at least one more week after being evaluated by team doctors.
He’s not back yet because a bone bruise in the ankle has added to his recovery time, the Lakers said.

On Tuesday, head coach Luke Walton said there was no timetable for Lonzo to return to the court so while the news of his re-evaluation is not the best outcome we are at least not completely in the dark on the 21-year-olds injury.
Since Ball went down the Lakers are 5-9 and he will miss at least the team’s next four games.
The team has slipped defensively since Ball’s injury and will need all the help they can get as they are on the outside looking in on the Western Conference playoff picture.
