Ever since the Los Angeles Lakers went into Oracle Arena and dominated the defending champion Golden State Warriors on their home court on Christmas day, it has been a train wreck for the purple and gold.
The Lakers lost LeBron James and Rajon Rondo in their convincing win over the Warriors and the team has looked out of sorts since that moment, going 3-7 in the 10 games thus far without their two most important veterans.
Things may have hit rock bottom when the team came out flat once again and suffered possibly their worst loss of the season in a 101-95 defeat at the hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Next up is another team at the bottom of the standings in the Eastern Conference in the Chicago Bulls.
Is Tuesday’s home contest against the Bulls a must-win game? Should head coach Luke Walton be fired if the Lakers lose on Tuesday? What can the team do to improve until James and Rondo return?
Honi Ahmadian (@HoniAhm) and I discuss the sky falling in Laker land.
