Report: Lonzo Ball has torn meniscus, expected to be ready by training camp

In a rare reprieve from LeBron James, Paul George and Kawhi Leonard news, current Laker guard Lonzo Ball reportedly has a torn meniscus in his left knee, per Sham Charania of Yahoo Sports!

The bad of this is that this is now the second procedure Ball will have on his left knee this off-season alone. Earlier in the summer, Ball had a PRP injection in his left knee and missed a month of time on the court.

This is also the same knee that Ball had problems with during the season that sidelined him for multiple games.

The good news is that this likely means Ball won’t be included in a potential Kawhi Leonard trade. Based on rumors, Ball was not the prospect the Spurs coveted with that distinction reportedly belonging to Brandon Ingram.

For Ball, this essentially rules out an entire summer of work on the court this off-season with the guard having missed time to begin the off-season. As to what effect that’ll have on him remains to be seen, but it is notable that this is the third time the same knee has sidelined him and could be a cause for concern.
