Having had time to digest and break down the Los Angeles Lakers’ 2018 NBA Draft class, our own Jacob Rude and contributor Mike Garcia get together to discuss all things draft and Summer League.
WIth Magic Johnson, Rob Pelinka and company making a trio of surprise draft picks, there’s been plenty of questons about whether the team reached for prospects, whether the draft was a success and how much this class can contrbute to the future.
Moritz Wagner, Isaac Bonga and Svi Mykhailiuk will all also be taking part in the Summer League with the Lakers in both the California Classic and in Las Vegas. Joining them will be two-way guard Malik Newman, undrafted free agent Jeffrey Carroll and a handful of other players as the Lakers look to repeat as champions in Las Vegas.
And lastly, free agency is less than a week away with the Lakers zeroing in on LeBron James and Paul George in the coming days. Both have been leaked to the Lakers in various ways in the past 24 to 48 hours with the rumor mill constantly running.
