LeBron James’ free agency decision is the biggest news in the NBA with July just around the corner. While James has traditionally taken his time in deciding his next career move, it appears as though this year may be different. For one, the star forward is reportedly not meeting with teams to hear their recruiting pitches, leading credence to the theory that he may have already made his decision.

Meanwhile, the Miami Herald’s Manny Navarro (on Fox Sports Southwest) also believes that LeBron’s decision will be made public quickly and that the star’s move to Los Angeles is a mere formality (h/t Reddit user LonzoDaVinci for the find and beautiful name):

“I think it’ll be quick. Everything I’ve been hearing, he’s already got people in his camp moving out to LA, buying houses. I think it’s pretty much a done deal with the Lakers.”

It’s important to note that Navarro, while reputable and obviously connected due to LeBron’s time with the Heat, is not Woj, Shams or Stein. These rumors should always be taken with a grain of salt especially when LeBron, who notoriously keeps things close to his chest unless he can gain something from revealing them, is involved.

Nevertheless, this is a hopeful sign for the Lakers who have put a lot of hope into signing LeBron James and pairing him with another superstar or two to vault into contending status.
