Most Los Angeles Laker fans are at least tangentially aware of Thomas Bryant, the team’s second-round pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.
After selecting Bryant, the Lakers essentially stashed him in the G-League for a season where he developed under less pressure while receiving more steady playing time.
In spurts, fans would catch glimpses of Bryant either late in garbage time of Los Angeles Laker games or in highlights of the South Bay Lakers.
That may change this upcoming season if Bryant’s summer workout videos are of any indication.
In a video uploaded to his Instagram on Monday, Bryant has turned into a dunking and three-point shooting machine, but mainly the first one.

Bryant may be bringing a new meaning to 3-and-D in three-point shooting and dunking. Considering where he was coming into the draft, his improvement has been dramatic.
With big man Brook Lopez entering free agency and the Lakers still in search of more three-point shooting, Bryant could find his way into the rotation next season. Still just 20 years old, Bryant has plenty of room for growth and is still younger than many of the draftees in the 2018 draft.
And if he continues dunking and hitting threes at the rate of his 30-second off-season workout video of which we can draw all of the conclusions from, then he will certainly become a fan favorite for the Lakers.
