When the Lakers wrapped up their exit interviews for this season, Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka challenged Brandon Ingram to use the offseason to transform his body. They spoke about these next few months as the biggest offseason of his life and it looks like Ingram is as serious about it as they are.
We recently saw clips of Ingram working on his game with Victor Oladipo’s former trainer, Micah Lancaster. Now, Ingram has taken his workouts to a place he is all too familiar with. Duke University’s men’s basketball account tweeted out images of the former Blue Devil at the “K Center” getting in some reps.

The talk around the Lakers young core has always mentioned how impressive their work ethic is and the team has put a culture in place that feeds directly into that trait.
We saw a massive jump from the 20-year old last year compared to his rookie season where he was a better player in essentially every area of the game. By putting in the hours this offseason he will only improve in year three. If Ingram is able to take another leap like the one we just saw, the Lakers could have a future star on their hands.
PS. If we keep seeing footage of Ingram working out, then no one can question why he was doing [insert normal adult activity], instead of being in the gym.
