The Los Angeles Lakers’ rookie class has been largely praised for the production of Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, and Josh Hart within the NBA. However, the success of the rookie class does not stop there. On Monday, Thomas Bryant and Alex Caruso were named to the All G-League teams following their impressive seasons with the South Bay Lakers.
Bryant, who was the 42nd overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft out of Indiana, was honored with both first team G-League All-Rookie and first team All G-League selections. Caruso, in his first year with South Bay, was named to the second team All G-League. Both players had a crucial role in the team reaching the G-League Western Conference Finals before losing to the Austin Spurs.

Caruso was a leader for the team on both ends while averaging 19 points, 7.7 assists, two steals while shooting 49.9 percent from the field and 38.7 percent from three. On the other hand, Bryant, who is still just 20 years old, averaged 19.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.5 blocks while shooting 59.7 percent from the field and 36.4 percent from deep.
Both players were able to get minutes with the parent team late in the season and showed flashes as to why they were so successful throughout their G-League campaigns.
