The NBA trade deadline is quickly approaching, much like it does every February as teams prepare for the All-Star break and a potential playoff push or tank fest in the final two months of the regular season.
The Los Angeles Lakers have been a hot topic around the league (shocker, I know) since they made a deal with the Brooklyn Nets last summer to shed salary. It was the first step in a publicly known plan to sign two max free agents in the summer of 2018. With plenty of cap space still needing to be opened up, will the Lakers be buyers or sellers before Thursday’s deadline at 12 PM PST?
Have we seen the last of Julius Randle or Jordan Clarkson in purple and gold? Will the Lakers wait until the summer to shed more salary when free agency hits? Do they still have a shot to sign Paul George or LeBron James this summer?
