Kobe Bryant is back in the basketball world. Fresh off having both of his jerseys retired at Staples Center on Monday, the Los Angeles Lakers legend is back to producing for his multimedia empire.
On Friday, Bryant unveiled the latest edition of his “Musecage” series, a set of videos introduced last season to teach basketball fans about the intricacies of the game from an all-time great’s perspective. Bryant recently publicized his short film “Dear Basketball” which is shortlisted for an Oscar nomination.
The latest episode of Musecage, presented after the Lakers’ loss to the Warriors, is titled “The Arc” and it features Bryant narrating the evolution of big men as they hope to avoid extinction in the small ball era.
Bryant’s feature includes highlights on new age bigs like Anthony Davis, Joel Embiid, and Kristaps Porzingis, versatile bigs capable of playing all over the court.
The Lakers don’t quite have that level of talent in their frontcourt, yet. But this season has featured a rookie phenom in Kyle Kuzma with guard skills playing as a power forward while Julius Randle continues to prove he can defend every position on the court.
Without further ado, here’s Kobe’s latest project:
