John Wall promised torture and, boy, he did not disappoint if you are the rims inside Staples Center.
Wall showed no mercy to the tune of 18 points on 22 shots en route to a loss at the hands of Lonzo Ball’s Los Angeles Lakers so Harrison and I responded in the only way we know how: By reacting in a completely mature fashion because that is the type of professional people have come to except from us.
(Narrator: They did not respond with maturity and no one in their right minds expect professionalism from me. Maybe Harrison, but definitely not me.)
Ball didn’t exactly wow anyone with his own performance, but again, it wasn’t him promising torture of a 19-year-old kid because of stuff said teenager’s dad was saying.
Elsewhere in the game, Brandon Ingram impressed, Julius Randle showed once again why he needs minutes, period. We talk about that, rotations and, again, mostly importantly, laugh at the Washington Wizards.
