Kyle Kuzma has been full of surprises this past month. When the Lakers drafted him with the 27th pick in the first round of the 2017 NBA Draft, it shocked a lot of people.
Fast forward to a few weeks after that, Kuzma once again surprised everyone and balled out in the Las Vegas Summer League, leading the Lakers to their first title and earning himself the Most Valuable Player Award for the final game.
Unsurprisingly, his success and great play in the Summer League helped him sign a brand new contract with Nike Basketball, as Kuzma himself announced on Twitter on Thursday.

In six games in Las Vegas, Kuzma led the Lakers in scoring at 22 points per game while shooting a scorching 48 percent from deep. He was routinely one of the best players on the court, showing skills in multiple facets of the game.
Congratulations are in order to Kyle Kuzma for his remarkable accomplishment. Here’s hoping there will be plenty more.
