Report: Los Angeles Lakers, Alex Caruso agree to deal

UPDATE: It is, indeed, a two-year, two-way deal for Alex Caruso with the Lakers, per Ramona Shelburne.

The Lakers are signing Alex Caruso, their summer league sensation, to a two year deal. It’ll be a two-way contract so he can also develop in the GLeague.

ORIGINAL STORY: Following a strong Summer League performance, the Los Angeles Lakers have signed guard Alex Caruso to a contract.

The specifics of the contract are not yet known. The deal is likely a two-way contract that will allow Caruso to play in the D-League and potentially for the parent Lakers as well.

In four Summer League games so far with the Lakers, Caruso has averaged 6.5 points, 3.2 assists, 1.8 rebounds and shot 44.4 percent from deep. His breakout performance against the Kings saw him grab the attention of the team and fanbase as he poured in 18 points, nine assists, four rebounds and four steals and hit 4-of-5 three-pointers.
