Larry Nance, Jr. has made a name in the NBA due to his gravity-defying dunks. The Los Angeles Lakers’ forward has made a habit of jumping over and around dudes and dunking on all of his large, adult sons.

Unfortunately, due to some untimely injuries, Nance has been unable to showcase that ability on the biggest stage, in the NBA dunk contest. That could change this year, ifNance has his way.

Nance spoke about finally competing in the dunk contest on Alex Kennedy’s HoopsHype podcast:

“It’s a definite possibility. It’s something that I’ve been wanting to do. I’ve just had some unfortunate timing with some bumps in the road, some injuries. But, I’m healthy – knock on wood – I feel healthy. It’s in LA. If there was a time when I had to do it, this would be it.”

Lakers owner Jeanie Buss has previously spoken about her desire to have an All-Star this year as the festivities will play out at Staples Center. That seems unlikely at this point, but the Lakers could still be well represented in Los Angeles if Nance can compete in the 2018 NBA Dunk Contest. We all know he’d be the favorite to win.
